4G Galaxy tab, 10.1

Samsung announced that its LTE version Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet will be available from Verizon as of today. The 16GB model will sell $ 530 with a two-year contract while the 32GB variant will retail for $ 630 under the same conditions. Users can choose one of three data plans: $ 30 per month for 2 GB, 5 GB for $ 50 or $ 80 for 10 GB - which they will be able to burn at download speeds of between 5 - 12Mbps in areas with 4G coverage.
The model Wi-Fi only, which was sold in the United States last month, will also be available in Verizon stores price of the regular $ 500 for 16 GB or $ 600 for 32GB. 4G or not the device itself may be the best Android-based tablet on the market with an HD 10.1-inch touch screen display with a resolution of 1280 by 800, Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core CPU cameras, front and rear face at 1GHz, and Android 3.1 Honeycomb.


It is also the thinnest tablet on the market at 8.6 millimeters thick, just a hair less than 8.8 mm 2, iPad, while weighing only 1.25 pounds. Adding connectivity LTE give Samsung the upper hand on another front.
In a separate announcement Samsung invited members of the press to the unveiling of a "major software update" next month, which should result in a fully customizable TouchWiz UX, panel, mini-applications, and redesigned interface for the Samsung Media Hub. It will also include some pre-loaded applications and offers of different companies.
